The Eleventh of September: An Act of Remembrance is a large-scale public art piece executed by artists under the name Trummerkind. Between 2001 and 2006 they drew every fireman and airline passenger that passed away at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. These drawings were made in 496 locations spanning from the WTC to 123st in Harlem, and when viewed from above, the locations draw out four heart shapes. This website explores 496 pages of documentation for the project in four unique styles.
